No question that the 4th-down conversions we gave up were troubling. I think we also gave up a couple third-and-Montana conversions.

Possibly the best back in the league with his lateral speed, and Smith knows how to use him. OSU Jeffers are going to put up yards on the ground.

That being said, 5/5 is garbage and the Cougs have to do better.

We went to the game. Very pleasant night in Corvallis. OSU used every trick play in their playbook. In general our defense was terrible but in particular I don't remember a DB getting a hand on the ball all night. Williams was very impressive almost always making the first guy miss anytime he got out into space. I thought Minshew looked a little out of rhythm in the 2nd quarter but played a flawless second half. Seemed like a good turnout of Coug fans. Lots of empty seats on the other side of the stadium.

My Beav friends called me from the game and stated, damn, WSU travels well, you guys have a great crowd here in Corvallis tonight. Go Cougs!!
