Was curious on anyone's thoughts wrt if Gameday coming to Pullman will have any influence on recruits, particularly those visiting this weekend.

It certainly won't hurt recruiting, unless Sgt. Schulz has them set up the booth near the sheep barns to showcase our agricultural prowess.

Its bonkers lights out! To have the Nations College Football focus on Pullman is absolutely crazy. I choose the AC in Seattle to go to this year. Wish i had known but Pullman will be an absolute madhouse. It not only will help with sports recruiting but also enrollment for all students. I never thought that it would happen.I ll probably be asked about Pullman many times this week at the local coffee shop.

Well this weekend is a big recruiting weekend so they are experiencing the hype that is buillding as everything was announced.

We will have some guys like Bryce Beekman (safety) and Dontae Powell (already Committed) visiting.

Probably will have a few more come too.

I hope they have as many good recruiting prospects as possible.

I hope the list of visits includes some 4 star DE's and LB's who have interest in WSU.

I think that fewer is better. The number one focus for the coaching staff should always be the game. With five or less, the staff still has enough time to spend individual time with each recruit. When I read the commitment articles lately, the players seem to always mention the quality time spent with Leach and their position coach.

When there are too many recruits at any one time, that leaves less time for the individual attention.

The best recruiting tool has always been winning games. Go out and beat Oregon, Stanford, etc.., and the good recruits will follow.

Great opportunity to give free tickets to all the NW prospects from class of 2020.

Anybody know of a place one can find scheduled official visits? Rivals recruiting site blows, so no help whatsoever.
Other site only offers Bryce as an OV. They don't know like they did when they had an insider. "Breaking......WSU wins battle with Cal Poly and Montana". Take THAT you.......FCS bastards!!!

Hope you didn’t pay too much for those tickets.

There he is. Last time he'll ever listen to a husky fan.

I was thinking about last year. I paid good bucks to fly my little family to Seattle hotel reservations food transportation etc. After that debacle i did not purchase tickets this year. I tried late but all good tickets are gone. I thought i had a line on some tickets but that was false hope i should have heeded my own words about improvement at QB and OL. Hell Crimson D would have been an improvement over last year s QB.Never the less this will be a great time to be in Pullman

Gameday will obviously help recruiting, but it's important to remember that it's already been to Eugene this year as well. There's a chance that it will be 9-2 USC vs 11-0 Notre Dame at the end of the season, that would make an enticing gameday Michigan vs Ohio State is that weekend too and would take precedence if both of them are in the Top 10 and fighting for the CFP. Regardless, while getting College Gameday to Pullman is a big deal and will give us a recruiting bump, at least one of our competitors gets that same bump this year. I hope our fans show up in big numbers and enjoy the experience, because providing the right atmosphere is just as important to our recruiting as a TV show. In the long run, the experience on campus for a recruit is going to be more meaningful than it being on College Gameday. Gameday is just a few hour long show in the morning that they see on TV and will likely not experience. If we have a rocking stadium for the remaining home games and win.....that's far more important than College Gameday. All that said, it does tell recruits out there that WSU is relevant....and that's not a bad thing. Bad news is that Oregon will be getting just as much pub as us.....so the game result is the most important thing of the day.

Don’t agree that the result is most important. The show itself and what it says about WSU is. At 4:00 pm there will be a ton of football choices. At 6:00 am only one.

I'm not overly concerned with USC & Oregon. Oregon has the most ridiculous facilities in the country and USC has 100 years of tradition on us. Getting Gameday isn't catching us up to the one, regardless of if they have it too.

Does it give us a bump over Utah, CU, Cal & the Zona schools? That's what I care about.

And that's a fair position. Having Gameday in Pullman obviously gives us a bump in credibility with recruits and we might get attention for a few weeks from guys that maybe wouldn't have noticed us before......but they aren't going to pick WSU unless we keep winning. Good thing is that Mike Leach is kind of good at that sort of thing.
