George Raveling's legacy

George was the first black man to lead a major college basketball team. Arizona was the second and the first to announce the hire. George was already hired and on a plane headed to Pullman during the Arizona announcement but was the first hired. Did an excellent job while at Wazzu and undoubtedly gave an impetus for other schools to follow suit. Somewhat surprised that this was not mentioned during his celebratory honor in Beazely.
