Go Dogs

Montana is a very good 2-4 squad. They play defense. There passing against the not-vaunted UW zone was impressive. Very quick and crisp passing found easy holes in the defense. They also shoot 3's quite well.

UW looks a bit out of sorts. One bright note for them has been 7'4" Riley Sorn out of Richland. Nobody is going to mistake him for Ralph Sampson but his combination of length and skill impacts the game. Makes good decisions as well. He's done a nice job in the moments I have seen him on the court this year. May not translate to conference but he's been a good story for them early season.

Montana might be pretty good. However, I believe they graduated a ton of players last year. Still shouldn’t Hanging around with a power five school

They're a solid Big Sky program and we can't talk much since we struggled against Idaho and Eastern, but Eastern is the class of the conference this year and managed to beat them.

UW zone has sucked since they lost Thybulle.

Can you imagine the havoc Noah Williams would cause in the 2-3 zone?

FWIW, I'm not sure why this UW team is so bad. They are far less than the sum of their parts and if they could start playing together for more than 5 min a game they'd win some conference games. Given the p12's luck, they'll turn it around just in time for conference play so we look weaker.

Williams would be a monster in their zone, but he would be a defensive monster on any time. He's special.

The UW has problems but it would have been a lot worse if Williams was in Buffalo. Thankful Oates left and Smith was hired.

Who knows what the future holds. But, it wasn't too long ago where many thought that Hopkins was going to dominate. His recruiting appeared to be outstanding. He had a very good first two years. But, last year was bad and this year is early, but has not started well.
