According to the other site Gonzaga is thinking of ending the series. They are worried about strength of schedule etc. that is why the cougs need to beat their butts in Pullman. Overly optimistic but i see this as a 0/50 proposition. If that happens the rivalry continues.i bet that 92% think that it is inpossiblity.

Seems like a ploy to try to get the "home-home-neutral" pattern established. Heck with that.

Beating their butts in Pullman this year will almost guarantee the rat man will cancel.

What they are worried/scared of is losing a rivalry game. If they win it doesn't help them and if they lose it really hurts them. So much for " Anybody, Anytime, Anywhere". IMO tradition and local interest should trump their strength of schedule worries. Lets face it, they will win their conference, probably their conference tourney and go to the dance every year. It really doesn't matter what their seeding is, they will be out most years in the second round. Hell being a number one seed didn't do them any real favors.

They believe they are an elite. They have done a great job and have a lot of talent returning. Will it matter? One of these years you would think they would pull off a Final Four.

I thought it was known the series was over. When UW came back it was the final nail in the coffin of the series. I enjoyed playing GU but I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep when they cancel the series.

In the past I always wanted this series to continue. The past few years not so much. When they insisted on the game in the Arena and Moos caved to them that tore it for me. Personally I hope it's cancelled now. Gonzaga has become too full of themselves.

I agree. The only way I want WSU to play them is a home and home. Otherwise, na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye.

I think it's pretty laughable they would cancel given all their whining about the UW series. A big part of me couldn't care less and would like to see them in our rear view mirror. However, a home-and-home would be fine with the other part of me. I don't think it's a bad idea to pause the series and hope Kent in that period of time WSU can raise our standard and give us a little more leverage to negotiate.
