Good Sign............ infrastructure Being Built

Might very well be meaningful. Why else would Apple be interested in hiring someone with sports broadcast experience?

Looking good. It's been always my hunch that Apple will in some capacity, broadcast Power 5 College Football. They do a heck of a job with Major League Baseball on Thursday nights...and I think they do Major League Soccer?

This is a good sign.

And ya know what? Media Buyers' will probably shell out the big bucks, the premium buys that Apple demands, (pay more than spots on traditional ESPN, ABC and CBS), because Apple is hip, and legacy and cable is not.

You think this position would’ve been posted and filled by now
Not sure what kind of horizon is needed, but the current Pac-12 TV contract expires 7/1/24, and no new agreement has been executed.

Apple is not hip. Hasn't been in almost 10 years. Tim Cook is not Steve Jobs.

In that field, the guy they hire will bring along the rest of the crew from other places he has worked. It would actually come together rather quickly if they hire the right person. A lot like hiring a new head coach. The major difference will be acquiring the hardware and then working through the software. Hardware lead times stink right now, so that is not as easy as snapping your fingers. And software....well, it is software. You know how that goes. When building from the ground up, either partner with an existing platform that is operational or allow some time.

The Hip part about Apple is their $3T+ Market Cap.
The point is advertisers aren't going to pay extra to connect with the Apple audience. And Apple didn't get to a $3T market cap by throwing money at stuff out of FOMO. The Apple is our savior meme is overly optimistic.

Well, consumers choose to pay more for Apple products, ie:
Phones
Tablets
Laptops
Bluetooth earbuds
Desktop computers
Watches, etc.

I actually see them getting their target price for their ads on their new so called network.

They are Apple. And with Apple, you get what you pay for.

E-T-C, this could be a home run for Kliavkoff, Schulz and anyone else in the Pac-12 who helped close the deal

Look what Apple TV did with the Ted Lassoe Show about the American who's clueless about soccer but ends up being a successful coach in England

They have a way of getting people to watch things they might not have been interested in previously
