Picked up from a poster on brandx but tweeted from Rothstein. Looks like a SF/PF type at 6-8" and athletic. Apparently has range but his stats were not impressive at 3 points/game for St. John's.

EDIT: Appears he is a PF that likes to shoot the 3. He's had multiple shoulder injuries that cut into his playing time.

From what is have seen of this guy,i am not impressed. He is athletic but not a great athlete. In Juco ball he averaged 16 pts and 7 rbs. I think that Curtis Allen needs to go. Curtis Allen is either not a good judge of talent or he cannot relate well to recruits. I have seen many other juco players whom teams are recruiting who are better than this guy I saw St Johns play on TV and i was not impressed with their players either athletically or talent wise. i do not remember this guy from the game. The film clips of juco ball were OK but nothing extraordinary.Perhaps they know something i don t but this guy will not help win PAC 12 games.Unless he has really been injured,he is not seen as a great recruit.

He is a senior and played two seasons of juco ball and one year at St John s.He has one year of eligibility as he was injured during the 2015-16 season. He was classified as a four star juco when he was recruited by the Johnnies. However, he was a reserve on a bad team. He got 6 pts and two rbs in 18 minutes of action against Villanova in a 101-67 blowout by Villanova. They would be better off bringing in a juco from all the ones they are considering.

Currently we don't have any seniors on the roster going into next year. Maybe that factors into the thinking of basically bringing in someone they can replace with a better player next year? Williams was headed to Iowa State before signing with St. John's. Apparently showed some flashes but in general a total mystery.

The good grad transfers out there aren't going to give us much of a sniff. They are in too high of demand.

Well he did get 10 pts and 4 rbs in a 74-73 win over Georgetown. so perhaps he will be a serviceable backup. This would free up a scholarship for the following year as you said.I just hope this does not mean that recruiting is not going well.

With 2 spots cleared on the staff why would anyone think recruiting is going well?

At this point and time this would be a very good recruit, just what the doctor ordered a one and done senior with experience in a major conference. Might not be the absolute best player but probably at least close to if not better than Franks and Pollard. We need a solid rebounder which it sounds like he was at least expected to be, plus spread four which Kent likes.

I doubt hits guy will start. I think he will come of the bench. The PAC 12 is a better conference than the one he played in. Both Franks and Pollard have a higher ceiling than this guy. But he will be a serviceable reserve and hold a scholarship open for next year.

With 3 spots to give this wouldn't be a bad signing. Not really going to help much but we weren't likely to get more than 1 or 2 quality kids at best. Right now we have 5 juniors, 2 sophs, and 3 frosh for next year.

One thing consistent with most jucos is that they usually are much better during their second year of D 1 ball. So this guy may actually help next year if signed

He had some decent offers while in high school (USC, Louisville among them).

He was also rated as a four star juco when St Johns recruited him. He was projected as a sure starter but that did not happen . Maybe he will be much better in his second year of D 1 basketball?

Shoulder injuries and inconsistency have been issues. The brandy site fans have called him a mystery. Shows flashes but also disappears for long stretches when he is able to play.

Inconsistency is what plagues many juco transfers . The cougs had that with their juco transfers

I would like to see us get him. Better than leaving a spot totally open, or taking a project who then may or may not transfer

He would be a good pickup at this point. I am not sure what other schools he is considering. There should be a report on his visit in the next couple of days

Ernie has been out on the recruiting trail and Haskins has probably been doing so from his home base. I do think it is possible to recruit Seattle. But that remains to be proven.

It sounds like Williams has other options. He is now considering Conn and Georgia tech. These two programs have a lot more to offer than WSU,except maybe playing time.
