Woke up this morning to the wonderful headline that Larry Scott has been canned. He did bring a TV package that so far has not delivered as it was supposed to. Otherwise he has been a disaster. Worst of all Pac-12 football and basketball (men's) have fallen behind the other power-5 conferences. Hopefully someone that can guide the conference back to a competitive level in all sports will he hired.

The conference was way behind when he took over, as Tom Hansen was just as bad. The conference has been agreeing to bad TV contracts for decades.

I remember feeling pretty excited to see Hansen go. Scott made a lot of promises but wasn't able to execute. While I think he's an @$$ some of the issues are about conference.

True, but in my view it was a big part of his job to lead the conference out of those issues.

That goes back to the unkept promises and probably a lot about Scott being an @$$. I will say those promises help to get the FOB done.

There were red flags though like coming from a professional tennis background in management. He was more about #1 than the conference.
