This could be a very good team. I also want them to allow Cam to run. That threat would soften up the middle of the field.

There seems to be a very firm stance against him running the ball, which I too am flustered by.

*puts on critical hat* As I stated yesterday, CW seems to struggle to get through his progressions, and he struggles to step up into the pocket that forms around him. He bails and the WRs don't seem to be on the same page as far as getting open after the play breaks down. I believe that if you let him run after he gets through his first two reads, you loosen the defense up and give him more time to get through the progressions. *takes critical hat off*

They seems to have a plan with him, I just don't know what it is. In time, all things shall be revealed, I suppose.

100% same page on running. It’s open for like 5 yards every time.
Also, I just assumed he was speedy, but there was that one sprint play (in the 4th) where he couldn't even beat the DE or LB to the edge, and then he did a weird fall down thing (he was keeping the clock going, I realize...) instead of continuing towards the sideline to get more yards.

In retrospect, I supposed he was just trying to stay in bounds, so smart play even though it looked odd.

Thought the same thing

Great win, but we have a lot we need to improve on. I'm very intrigued by the game this week vs. Colorado State. I had it circled as our biggest game of the year before the season started, regardless of whether we beat Wisconsin or not. We either needed to bounce back after a loss or come out and refocus after a big win and take of a business against a team we *should* beat.

This is going to be a tough focus week with Oregon and Homecoming vs. Cal on the horizon. Colorado State is really struggling, but Mountain West teams are good enough to beat us, and that's what our coaches need to hammer on this week. We're 2-0, but we could almost as easily be 0-2 if some things had broken differently. That would be my message to the team.
