the thing that bothered me most was the lack of someone on the QB. We had people covered...but he would just scamper for yards.

I was watching the game with a friend and I specifically remember a play where the entire defense crashed to one side and the back just cut back and picked up like 15 yards. The first thing I learned when I started playing football at 8 years old was to STAY HOME!!!!! That is such a fundamental skill playing football that it should be as secondary as washing your hands every time you take a sh!t. There was ZERO containment throughout the game and it killed us.... That and the fact that we couldn't tackle a granny in walker cover in tar. Just ridiculous and pathetic play from the entire team. Grinch is on notice as far as I'm concerned or at least he should be.

Don't be too hard on Grinch. He's only 35, never been a DC, and was Leach's #9 choice.

Anyone who expected Grinch to step in and perform a miracle obviously doesn't remember the BYU game in year 1 of Leach. There isn't a coach or player that doesn't need a long look in the mirror after this disaster.

As bad as this is other programs have picked themselves up and had a good season after a debacle of this order. OSU a few years ago comes to mind. Nobody should expect it at this point but it's not out of the question.
