The Brand X board is reporting that Kent has made an offer to Ed Haskins. So expect to see him sign on the dotted line soon

I don't know who else is out there but I'm not expecting a recruiting impact in this cycle. If it happens great but I actually like this moving forward over the next few years. Maybe Haskins (or the 2nd hire) also becomes a viable 'next coach in line'. Kent isn't getting any younger.

I just hope that he can help with the current players currently being recruited. If he is man who can positively motivate and communicate with people,he may help this year s recruiting.

According to twiitters from Garfield High School ,he is on his way. I really like thie hire. His recruiting ties in the region will help. Also his ties to Eastern Washington are a definite plus. It is a great career move for the man. Good job Ernie. Now to hire another coach with ties to California and the rest of the region .I hope that Moos opened up the purse strings to give the coaches good salaries

Moos open up the purse strings? Really? There are two problems with that. First, Moos cares about football, the end. Second, the purse is empty.

A good financial manager has many pockets in his coat. I have found that the best rule is make friends with the finance people when you are hired for a job. They can help you or make your life miserable.

I really hope they can score a second assistant with some international ties.
I think California is a higher priority but would like to see us start to develop international contacts. It seems to take a lot more time to develop international contacts as well.

I agree. California is very important. I'd just hate to miss out on the untapped international market - WBB does an excellent job and they've picked up some really solid players the past few seasons.

You would think that would help get us in the door but maybe the 'handlers' are just different men to women? I agree that it's an area I would like to tap as well.

i would say that the men s programs have tapped into the European market for a few years now. The good players are highly recruited by the major programs. It appears that the women's' programs have not done so at the same rate as the men.Perhaps that is why JD has made good inroads into the European talent pool?

Daugherty has built a lot of trust I believe going back to her days at Boise State. When you are sending a player out of the country that has a lot of value.
