I see Caleb Williams won the Heisman. I was pulling for TCU’s QB/ Dugga. Seems like he had less talent around him than Williams. Plus he has his team in the Natty chase. Sc sucks.

Caleb Williams altho extremely talented, like you said, had LOTS of talent around him, and there were almost equally talented QB's, that had LESS around them, combined with all the above, had BETTER STATS.

But because Caleb Williams was so extremely talented, explosive, was a dual run, pass threat, and was on a USC type, with MORE talent around him, SCORED A LOT OF POINTS(the only statistical category, where his stats equal or better(all the other statistical categories, his stats were not as good), partly because of talent around him, and because USC won so many games, and scored so many points, that's why he Caleb won the Heisman.

Reminds me of the days when the Heisman winner would have stats like 66% completions, 2000 yards, 20 TD's, 10 Int's, the team would score 45 per game, and have a 10,11,12 win season.

Compared to the non Heisman winners that had 70% completion, 4000 yards, 40 TD's, 6 Int's, etc.

I don't know what Caleb's exact stats are, but I would guess about 70% completions, 3333 yards, 33 TD's, 5 to 7 to 10 Int's.

And I bet the best non Heisman winner stats, that probably should have won the Heisman, probably had about 73% completion, 4385 yards, 44 TD's, 8 to 10 to 12 Int's.

But because those kind of stats played on TCU, and OR other teams, and not on USC, Alabama, that's why those kind of stats didn't win the Heisman, and Why Caleb did.

That's why the Heisman is usually a joke, and why USUALLY, the Heisman winner has historically not been drafted, an or played an or dominated in the NFL.

There have been exceptions to that tho.

Yawn. The Heisman usually is just an award for a very good skill player on a top-10 team. E.g., Mahomes never even was invited to New York.

Like a lot of things in CFB, I used to care about it more. Now I don't think anyone does except ESPN or Fox.
