In general, I like Herbstreit, but he's apparently been given the designated role of chief of SEC fellatio. He'd better get some better kneepads. F#ck Georgia. If they wanted to be in the playoff, all they had to do is not blow the game last night. We get knocked out of the NY6 because of a blizzard and he doesn't have any concerns and immediately starts waving the flags of the B1G and SEC.

Ohio State has a better case for the CFP than Georgia. They are undefeated against Top 25 teams (Georgia has lost twice to Top 25's). The both didn't make it so maybe the CFP committee isn't completely corrupt.

But Ohio state got blown out by a 6-6 team, and struggled against two other unranked teams. They’ve been wildly inconsistent all season. Georgia has been solid, their bad loss was against #10.
Looking at head to head, I expect Georgia would beat OSU, as would the rest of the top 4. Georgia would probably have a better shot at winning against the top 4 - obviously, since they should have beat Alabama.

Two losses matter. If they were unbeaten going into the title game, they get in. They had their bad week against LSU, they don't get any more mulligens.

Georgia got what they deserved. They had the opportunity and didn't get it done. They have two loses, not good enough to be in the final four. Wins & Conf. Championship SHOULD matter.
