Here is why it's on Morris and Not entirely on OL, WR, etc.

To make the offense work, and the screens, Short passes to work, have to do the following things.

1. RUN THE BALL. at least 14 to 16 to 18 carries, to keep the defense honest and surprise them with a PRODUCTIVE run, when they are expecting pass.

Some say that RB's can't run the ball, or that the OL can't block, so that why Morris not give carries.

The thing is tho, that Jenkins HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL running the ball. The run blocking has been suspect, semi bad, INCONSISTENT, but has just barely been semi ok enough at times for the RUN to be SUCCESSFUL.

Because of that, should RUN THE DAMN BALL, and if don't, that's ON MORRIS and NOT ON OL.

2. You have to have at least semi mid range, semi vertical passes to the outside, and middle, to open up the short passes and deep passes and running game and screens, sideline swing passes, etc.

Some say that's on Cam and the Dropsies WR's, and the OL that causes Cam to be sacked so much.

But there has been both SUCCESSFUL and bad play which is INCONSISTENT. But because it has been successful, that means the OL has pass blocked well enough to sustain a pocket long enough to find a open WR, and pass down field at times.

And altho the OL has been inconsistent, a lot of it has been Cam holding onto the ball too long, and not running, scrambling, stepping up into pocket for 3.5 to 7 yards, an or Cam not getting outside pocket and THROWING BALL AWAY, and not being A GAME, DOWN, move the chains MANAGER.
.
It's ok to throw ball away, you have 4 downs. And it's ok to throw ball away and then punt once in while, as will get another possession, and defense good. And its ok to scramble, run FORWARD, for little, no, small gain, because 2nd and 6 to 8 to 10 is better then 2nd and 13 to 16 to 19, interception, etc.

This is something that probably can be trained to the QB. IF YOUR NOT COACHING IT, YOUR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN.

If necessary, on a extremely limited temporary basis, BENCH the QB for a play, series, possession, if you have to, in order to coach, train, etc. That's what PRICE did.

Also because passing down field has been successful, then you should continue to do so. Morris NOT continuing to do what has been successful, like passing, running ball, is ON MORRIS, NOT ON OL, CAM, etc.

Also have to call the plays in a way that mixes up the plays, and keeps the defense honest, if you run either running plays or passing down field plays or screen plays, 30 times in row, then defense will STOP the passing down field or screen play.

And speaking of PLAYCALLING, if it's 2 or 3rd an inches, RUN THE DAMN EFFING BALL, MOVE THE DAMN EFFIN CHAINS, GET A 1ST DOWN. There has been EXTREMELY LOT OF DRIVES THAT STALLED OUT, because of this. THATS ON MORRIS.

3. You have to do screens. But not 30 in a row, and not 25 in a game. There should be about 3 to 6 to 9 screens, and 3 to 6 to 9 screens, sideline swing passes, shovel passes etc per game, NOT IN ROW, MIXED, SCATTERED thru out game, in order to slow down blitz, rush, catch defense by surprise, sustain drives, set up mid and deep passes. And you have to have mid, deep passes, runs, to set up these passes.

Altho the WR have dropped balls, not blocked, and Cam not hit these WR in stride, these passes could be more successful, if Morris was a BETTER PLAYCALLER, and if Morris and other coaches did a better job a training WR not to drop, to block, and training Cam to hit EXTREMELY SHORT passes to WR IN STRIDE.

Again if it's NOT TRAINED, TAUGHT, COACHED, etc, YOUR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN.

Yes the OL, WR, TE's, CAM can and should do better, and haven't been good, and that's part of the blame.
.
But that does not excuse MORRIS'S EXTREMELY STUPIDLY INSANELY BAD PLAYCALLING, BAD COACHING OR LACK OF COACHING, BAD DECISIONS.

If Morris did a better job, then the offense would be more productive DESPITE the problems.

It all comes down to talent and execution.

Or just run the fing ball when you have the numbers like we just did.

Watson is slower than molasses after the injury and still ripped one for 50 yds or whatever it was

Great take. He really looks slow. You are really smart.

You are the on that is lacking in smarts...pretty much every time you post

He isn't fast. not a knock on him. You don't have to be fast to be a good running back(See John Tippins)

He is playing really well...but he is certainly not fast.

He doesn't have break away speed...again not a knock.

Spinge = 🤡

1st Qtr hot take specialist.

Halftime Watson 13 carries 158 yds
runs Of 65 & 41

Give someone your phone

Still some interesting calls, but nice to see what the offense can look like when the OL isnt overwhelmed.
