Here's another topic to think about, assuming a lack of interest for DC

...money. I'm sensing the market for good coordinators is going to pay much higher than what Breske was making.

My solution... Have Moos go on ESPN and tell everyone the job pays $800,000. Then see whose resume shows up. That'll get interest going.

Here are two names: Kenny Perry and Chad Glasgow. They both are DB coaches at TCU. They destroyed Ole Miss today and their defense is great at taking the ball away. Former Leach QB Sonnie Cumbie is the offensive coordinator at TCU, so Leach knows someone who can tell him all about either of those coaches.

I would be okay with giving the right DC 800k.

We have an agreement with somebody. Can't explain the wall of silence about on-going interviews in any other way that makes sense.

I like Biggs' suggestion, though. It would certainly be entertaining to watch what would happen.

As for the market for coordinators, Bill paid CML the going rate when he hired him, and he will do the same with the new DC.

Sitake got 750, Chavis got 1.3, and now you're in the market at the same time as LSU. The market isn't going to get lower. But yeah, the absolute silence seems indicative of someone waiting out a severance or bowl game- if we were getting turned down, we'd have heard about it.

This is my thoughts as well. If Leach were still looking or interviewing candidates, things would have leaked out. Not from Leach's side, but the other side. So, I do think that there is already an agreement in place with a new DC.

The fact that Pendergast hasn't been hired by someone else is very interesting to me. Unfortunately, LSU might look his way.

I know Britton questioned why he'd have interest in Pullman- but that Feldman article paints the picture of a coaching vagabond, who might be ready to have some security and stability- if he's as good as his resume, he could be in Pullman as long as he wants, and that might work for him.
