Here's my guess on how we handle non-qualifiers towards scholarship limits

...we allow them to be "released" to pursue another school.

My guess is we tell kids "here's what you need" and prior to officially applying, we have a good idea of yes/no, and we tell them we can release them.

I also don't know if Singleton was ever a non-qualifier. My guess is he was treated as a gray shirt. Meaning, his application probably never made it all the way to the admissions office.

It really depends on the kid and our need in two years. One little known thing about KSU and their success with JC kids is that often, the kids are ones that wanted to be at KSU originally but were placed in a juco by Snyder. If the kid is talented and we want to keep the door open, do what you can to facilitate his JC future.
