However, the schedule’s brutality (seven top-25 teams) and road games at Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Alabama pose challenges. Historical precedent shows Group of 5-to-SEC quarterback transitions (e.g., Diego Pavia) maintain efficiency, suggesting Mateer can handle the leap. If he sustains top-three SEC performance and low turnovers, a 12-0 season is feasible, positioning Oklahoma for a College Football Playoff berth and a potential SEC title run, as analysts like Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman suggest.

Final Record Prediction: 12-0, with Mateer’s elite play (4,500+ total yards, 48 total TDs, <10 turnovers) and OU’s defensive prowess overcoming the tough schedule, making them a playoff contender.

Contender? If Oklahoma is 12-0, they’re #1 and the top seed. And with 4,500 yards and 48 TDs for 12-0 Oklahoma, Mateer is invited to New York.

I would bet a large sum of money Oklahoma will not go 12-0 and not win the SEC.

Combined TDs if he stays healthy and has a great year…35-40?

I’m rooting for Mateer but it’s laughable to think he’s going to have the same path as Ward just because. More likely he ends up UFA than a first rounder and Oklahomas ceiling in the SEC is probably 10-2.

$65 per seat from Tri-cities. Cheaper than last year, but still $25 more expensive than when the alumni were running it.

At $30-40, it was a pretty easy sell to me - being able to drink or sleep, especially for the late games, was worth it, and the cost was roughly break-even compared to fuel. All that was lost was the flexibility to get something to eat after a game - which really wasn’t a loss for late games.

At $65, it costs more than driving myself, and if anyone’s going with me it makes zero sense to take the bus.

According to AAA the total average cost per mile of a new vehicle today is about $0.81

Round trip from Tri-Cities/Pullman is about 300 miles or about $240

No more excuses Loyal. No truck stop whores allowed on that party wagon!
Hey leave me out of this. But glad to see buses back on the table. However, it makes no sense for me to drive 90 miles to the T-C to then pay to sit on a bus.

Cheaper than getting your shit stolen from a truck stop and less embarrassing than having to give hand jobs for gas money home 🤷

Hah hah. I see you are consulting with Gibby to make shit up from almost 2 years ago. I did not lose my wallet at a truck stop, and I would have been happy to service the kind and rather attractive woman who gave me some gas. But carry on.

One thing I can guarantee is that there is no consulting with Gibbons.
