To have so many 2nd half meltdowns without fundamentally being a bad coach? The trend isn’t losing by a touchdown in a hard fought game in the 2nd. It’s total unmitigated meltdown. Between Utah, Utah St., and SC today Rolo should not have a job. This team has no leadership or identity. Less mental toughness than a Wulff team.

How can you allow man on Drake London? After the first 5 catches? 10 catches? Terrible

How can Cooper ride the pine while Gabalis is in with the game still technically in reach? That is unforgivable.

How can you bungle 1st 1 on the 1 so supremely? Chose something and run it.

Is De Laura hurt? Or only when the game was is reach “technically”.

Justus Rogers in coverage on USC slot? Where the F*ck is help overtop? Why is the Nickel never there?

Borghi looks like a shell of himself. No creativity in getting him the ball.

Call a timeout to draw up a pooch punt where your QB blows his knee out.

Our run blocking is absolutely horrendous. He constantly has to change direction from the original design of the run (if we want to call it that) what a pathetic, lackluster gameplan by this coaching staff.

425 is a crap scheme. As we saw today, a solid OC can formation the 425 into mismatches that are just bad for the defense. Honestly, how did they not line up in trips and throw to the slot over and over and over and over…. Remember when BYU dropped 8 and rushed 3 early in Leach’s tenure? They laid out the blue print for how to make things difficult for Leach. Guess what? SC just laid out the blue print on how to mismatch WSU’s LB vs slot. Better get ready boys. That is coming at you all season long.

It’s not possible. He’s a chump who has no business coaching at this level and must have gotten by at Hawaii with his comfort level w the program and familiarity to the local kids to recruit.

Its the sad truth. Rolo and Co have taken a scrappy squad with an insane work ethic who were able to execute admittedly simple concepts in their sleep and turned them into a bunch of soft guys who project faux confidence so they wilt when adversity hits.

They didn't know from day to day what the workout schedule was, when meetings would be,etc. Very much a fly by the seat of your pants environment. Rolo had little to no structure or organization within the program. SaId he was a "nice guy" but the "serious players" were worried and everyone else was just partying all the time.
Even though Leach was abrasive and could be cold and distant with some of the players, they liked winning and the more mature guys understood that discipline was what you needed to win.
Rolo came in and the team figured out right away that it was every man for himself.
This is the "culture" that Rolo has created.
