Young QB looks like the real deal and better overall prospect than Slovis! To bad his breakout game had to be against the Cougs!

He is the backup because he would rather stand on the sideline and clap, maybe get some injury relief, chase Song Girls around campus than go somewhere he could start for 4 years.

If that’s your first game as a frosh and you are ok with going right back to the sideline to stand and clap how competitive are you really???

You get 4 seasons. Why these kids stockpile themselves on the sideline is beyond me. You cannot get to the NFL by not playing. That kid could start at prob every school in the league. Instead, back to the bench.

He'll still have 4 years of eligibility remaining after this year, and thanks to us, he laid the foundation for a nice SoCal NIL deal next year.

If it were me, Slovis wouldn't see another down as long as that Dart kid is there.

You aren't going to win championships with Slovis as your qb

Then it’s his turn to stand and clap on the sideline. Also, they have another 4 star qb verballed. He can stand next to him. They will look awesome signaling plays in. Why play when you can wear a ballcap and send plays in??

Simply amazing to me how these kids all go to the same schools thinking they will be the starter…. only to spend years as a backup…. then hit the portal for one last season … good luck.

This is one of the things I was referring to in my previous post when I said I'm feeling more positive about WSU's prospects moving forward.

If we can find a coaching staff who gets it, the transfer portal could and should be a tool that helps WSU more than it does the bigger schools. Like you said, why stand on the sidelines for USC when you can come to WSU and start next season?

You guys can’t be serious… He is there because if he plays well that one or two year period he will be drafted into the NFL. Actually makes perfect V sense. Same reason why every to notch program has guy sending in plays with a cap on who will likely play on Sundays?!?!
Thanks to performances like ours and the film he has… He will likely be a draft prospect before he even starts a game after Slovis leaves..

Transfers are a way to fill some gaps of kids that didnt pan out or moved on for whatever reason. My concern is this… WSU has been recruiting Juco kids for 35+ years. If transfers was gonna work in a big way, would it have worked by now??? Will they attract the transfers they need???

I guess I’d counter that by saying the two most successful coaches we’ve had, Price & Leach, landed some very successful transfers. The transfer portal and social media makes remote schools like ours just as reachable as any other program.

WSU is not the impossible sell that’s it’s made out to be. We’ve had 5 football coaches since 1980 who have assembled teams that were the best or among the best in the conference. That’s too many for it to be a coincidence.

How many transfers in versus how many were good players???? Im not saying transfers dont work out. Im saying if you took 100 of them, how many are All Conference? How many are starters? How many NEVER play at all??? And what is an acceptable rate for each???

Imo, if you bring in a transfer and he isn't starting, cut him. Why bring in transfers for depth? Unless it’s a 1 year guy than he is gone soon enough. Otherwise, he has limited time left. He isn’t contributing. Why have a guy taking up a scholarship that isn’t a 4-5 year player?

WSU gets made out to be a far worse place than it really is. There are much worse jobs in the conference and in P5 abroad.
