I figured one of my first responsibilities as publisher was to. . .

And honestly a good book! I think it really delves into why he makes some of the decisions he makes.

His book on Geronimo, meh. Mediocre at best but it does give you insight to his mindset, as well. Probably more so than Swing Your Sword. It's obvious he looks up to Geronimo and when you read about CML's perspective on his perseverance and dedication to his craft, I see where CML expects excellence from his players.

I'd probably read both, if I were you. Neither are Shakespeare so it won't take long…:)

And again, WELCOME to the Family!

I second man2's suggestion. Read both. Easy reads and won't take too long. Also agree that Swing Your Sword is better than Geronimo but the second book is also worth the little time it takes to get through it. Some good points on perseverance and training via repetition.

Welcome to this little website and the PNW. It was becoming obvious to all that Britton was unable to work his gig with the Mariners and do justice here too. Glad to see that he will still be around contributing part time.

I didn't catch where you were relocating to in the PNW but it would take a little work to find a bad spot although a few exist. Any previous connection to this neck of the woods?

A small suggestion: Don't confine yourself to male athletics only. I seem to recall that someone else mentioned the women's success in soccer, crew and rugby. During some of the darker days they were the only light shining.

Based on your recommendations, I will read the Geronimo book as well.

My wife and I just got back from a week-long visit to Portland, where her father lives. That is our main connection to the PNW. My wife would prefer moving there, but I have left open the door to Spokane or another spot closer to Pullman.

As I stated on the premium board, the team coverage will feature a variety of sports, not just the most popular ones such as football and men's basketball. Planning comprehensive coverage of women's basketball, baseball, soccer, etc. as well. The overwhelming message from WW readers has been abundantly clear - we want more than just FB and MBK. You'll get it.

Thanks for all the information. I am looking forward to what you have in store for us all. Speaking only for myself, I am fine with making your wife extremely happy and moving to Portland. You can still drive to see a few games and meet coaches, etc. With you hiring a student intern, this will be fine. Plus, if Britton does continue with recruiting, the site will be better than it has been in a very long time.

Thanks

Britton does plan to continue with the recruiting coverage. Hopefully, between the enhanced team coverage + recruiting, we can make WW the best site for WSU coverage. Keep reading and spread the message. Thanks!
