I see that Arizona is continuing to recruit very well.

I don't see why we can't recruit as well given their terrible performance in football for many years.

For gawd's sake they are a basketball school and everyone knows that.

I think Arizona has a lot of $$$$, Fisch basically bought A new roster this year, quite a bit of talent. He still sucked.

Much easier to recruit to a warm climate.

WSU needs to use that to their advantage. TOUGHNESS. Playing in the cold makes you tough, going to a warm climate is easy mode, how is that growing you as a player or a person? Make what seems like a negative into a positive.

I swear to fcking Christ, if someone uses the "its too cold to play in Pullman" excuse again, I'm going to pull their Cougar card.

There are plenty of schools north of 45 degrees north that kick our ass in recruiting and record year in and year out.

Its $$$$$$. Zona has it, we don't.

Even the likes of Harbaugh at Michigan and Urban Meyer have commented that recruiting to northern climate schools is much more challenging, particularly for elite skill player kids. Not sure how anyone can dispute that. Coach Prime recently said that the weather is the biggest challenge with getting kids to Colorado.

It's not an excuse, and good coaches can overcome it by bringing in tougher kids. If they choose schools based on warm weather, odds are those same kids will fold their tents when the going gets tough; but let's not dismiss the reality that really fast players prefer warm weather.

I see what you're saying Justin however 18 to 22-year-olds Don't give a rip about toughness anymore. All they're interested in are the benjamins and how to get to the nfl.

Agree about the Benjamin’s but a lot of NFL weather is played in cold weather. Come to WSU and show you won’t fold in Buffalo, GreenBay, Chicago…. When it gets cold.

I think Leach had a stat on how many "northern" cold air stadiums there are in the league. When you look at it from that lense, playing in the cold/snow is something that will help your game out.

I'd also say the altitude is an issue for players as well. Yeah your body adjusts to it but I definitely will never forget my first trip to CO. I went to a couple different 24 hour fitness' there and the first workout I had was brutal. I was gasping while lifting and felt weaker in process. By the time I started my cardio portion of the workout, I was gassed. Its not a long process to get acclimated but starting out is a bit daunting.

Pretty sad that there are more posts here about Arizona's recruiting class than our own.

People should maybe look in the mirror when calling kids soft.

That... doesn't even make sense.

Tell you what, why don't you get invited to the lower tier bowl for insults, take those extra practice days and thos spring and summer, and come back next fall and try again.

Or maybe it was that you were never CZ level talent to begin with...

Basketball and basketball boosters have been very, very good to Arizona. They have a base amount of donors who contributed illegally for decades and can now do it out in the open. I am not surprised that they jumped all over this early. Imagine if Gonzaga was starting a football team? Money would not be a problem.
