Wouldn't it be interesting if several said, "Ya know, we have second thoughts. The grass is not always greener on the other side. This will be too hard on our olympic sports athletes. We want a mulligans, and an Apple Streaming contract. We officially give notice that we're not leaving for the B1G 10."Both
Ouch. well that could throw a wicket into things. What I want to know is how much money is there/will there be? The Pac 12 must do financial statements. Searched but could not find a 990 tax return. But this is accounting, not rocket science. What's in the bank, what's owed to and from us, what future revenue streams are lined up (doesn't the March Madness payout go over 6 years?). And I assume they are a public entity, so these figures should be obtainable. Maybe Wilner or Canzano will get on the trail.I think it's more likely due to the Comcast debt being much greater than $50m...

Court documents reveal Pac-12 schools to pay well beyond $50 million in Comcast overpayment scandal
Sworn statements from Pac-12 executives illuminate a scandal that had been kept private for nine months.www.mercurynews.com
EDIT for those that cannot access. It's $72M. Canzano separately thinks: "As all of the moves from Wazzu and Oregon State indicate they plan to play 2024 as a 2-member conference, the Mountain West will discuss "future schedule opportunities" at their meeting in Las Vegas next week."
WSU is not involved on that suit. So, the stated purpose for the closed door executive session doesn't make sense.I think it's more likely due to the Comcast debt being much greater than $50m...

Still only $6M per school, and the 10 are on the hook for it. I don’t think it’s a big concern…as long as we get enough to pay ours. And maybe enough to pay the FOB.I think it's more likely due to the Comcast debt being much greater than $50m...

Could be to approve a settlement. Could be to discuss the mediation and obtain settlement authority. Could be something totally unrelated.Comcast debt not a new topic.
It could be the Pac-12 members have agreed to a settlement and this approves it.
It could be that we have the opportunity to join the Big-12.
I'd assume all parties have agreed to settle. No one really wants to see this drag out publicly.Could be to approve a settlement. Could be to discuss the mediation and obtain settlement authority. Could be something totally unrelated.

Have we even met for this mediation? It was just announced. Things don't move that quick. And I for one want to see it drag out long enough for us to get max money.I'd assume all parties have agreed to settle. No one really wants to see this drag out publicly.
It was just reported in the media. The TRO hearing was a month ago.Have we even met for this mediation? It was just announced. Things don't move that quick. And I for one want to see it drag out long enough for us to get max money.
At this point, I want to see all the dirty laundry.Have we even met for this mediation? It was just announced. Things don't move that quick. And I for one want to see it drag out long enough for us to get max money.
