I think Leach probably had the numbers pretty close...we have about 1/3

of our class changing their mind in the last week. It explains why there were 28 commits. I would much rather lose a WR or three than DT's and DE's.

Linebacker continues to be thin, especially running a 3-4.

But I would rather pick up a DE/DT and lose a WR any day of the week.

And I believe another 5 high school olineman. Can only mean more stability.

The d-line group looks very solid

Toki, Mitchell, Fehoko, Mattox all look to be very good to excellent additions. Myers appears to be the best O-line addition. That wr group, however, is looking worse by the minute with Burnett going to USC as a preferred walk-on (how's he going to afford the tuition on his own?) and Mason flipping. What a bunch of flakes.

Re: The d-line group looks very solid

Dimry and Sweet will not really be viewed as great, but we get the kid from Clemson as well, so overall we add three, two of which I see doing well, and one (Dimry) as a situational guy. Not great, but not quite terrible either. Looking at what we have on the roster they did not need much more that that.

Edit to add a WOW that we lose Mason to SJSU......huh? Grades?

That 1/3 we lost is a brutal list of names. Wish we could have closed on a few of those guys. Tezino, Burnett and Mason(if he flips) all had huge potential for us.

We lost some due to Simmons leaving; some due to grades; and possibly one because we legitimately didn't want him anymore.

What's left is a very good class, and one that helps out in areas that were important in this cycle.

I think we even have a couple of kids who will contribute and win PT this year.

We'll win with this group, and that is all that really matters when it is all said and done.

I would not consider this a "very good" class. I would consider this a below average PAC12 class. It would have been very good if we could have kept some guys but now we are probably going to finish with the 40-45th ranked class in the country. That isn't good enough for a PAC12 team in my opinion.

Agree on your sentiment, cr8zy. We can't forget about some of the transfers that will be playing this year, like Larue. We can't forget the players coming back this year, Gabe Marks. And we have some Soph.s that I think are gonna light it up, like Andre, Harrington and Ware at the WR position. I'm still stoked about our QB situation. And this class is filling some positions on the Dark Side that is woefully needed. And again… The OL is being continually stocked. This may not be in the Top 25 classes but this will get us some awful solid players.

Odd taste in my mouth on this but overall, I'm still excited for next year. These guys will work hard for WSU.
