Nice, but I think it's too long of a nickname, (three words, that don't roll together well). But it's true. He is cool, he is smooth, he's calm and a Luke. Certainly whatever name we give him will most likely follow him to when he starts playing on Sundays.
3 word nicknames work. Just takes some getting used to (and has to be earned).

The Paul Newman movie is what I referenced for the nickname. Luke is cool under pressure and throws the winning touchdown. Maybe too early to anoint him this name but it is cool.
This thread reminds me how old I am. Seems some of the younger posters had not heard of the Paul Newman movie.

I'm in my mid-20s and have also seen The Hustler...now come to think about it, would also be an awesome nickname.
With the new Star Wars movie right around the corner I'm going with Luke Skyfalker.
Oh Please, the vast majority of Star Wars fans and football fans are at the opposite ends of any spectrum...in this galaxy. You have the guy who dresses up for the Oakland games and ...no one else. Calling for Luke to pull out his lifesaver...me be code-word for needing a serious beat down.
