Easton Bruere - #2 QB prospect in New Mexico (#1 is committed to Michigan).

I know we've got Falk, Bender, and Hilinski, so we look pretty good for the next 3 years or so, but if there ends up being a slot available this kid looks like a reasonable option...and having quality competition at QB ain't a bad thing.

Also note in the article - "the (U of New Mexico) Lobos received a commitment from 3-star JUCO passer Austin Apodaca in December."

If you have an opening you use it to fill a hole, QB is not a hole at this time IMO. I am sure there will be some surprise on signing day there usually is something that comes out of no where.

He has not received one D 1 offer despite his close proximity to UNM.NMSU UTEP and Texas Tech. he has been deemed to not be a D 1 caliber player

Since he does not have an offer, if you talked to him, you would say you would give him the same chance that WSU gave Luke Falk. I don't think that Hiliniski would be upset with WSU taking a walkon.
