Checking their scores this year, they got a lot of mileage out of the Ohio State win. Granted, that was a big one....but it was the season opener against a freshman QB and a Buckeye team that obviously is much better than they showed that first game. That victory kept the Ducks high in the polls this entire season. It certainly wasn't any of the other games. They beat Fresno State by 7, only led Arizona by 5 at the start of the 4th quarter, lost to Stanford, beat Cal by 7, beat UCLA by 3, beat UW by 10 (was a one-score game with 2 minutes to go when Jimmy decided to punt), beat the Cougs by 14 (one-score game with 6 minutes to go), beat OSU by 9 and got slaughtered twice by Utah. They did crush Stony Brook and Colorado. But they sure didn't play like a team that should be considered a top 4.
If they want to give Cristobal $7 million a year, that's fine with me. I think he'll continue to underachieve on the field.
Glad Cougar
