If I'm Max, I submit my papers to enter the transfer portal before my head hits the pillow tonight.

Max needs to put up a remarkable season in order to be better than a Day 3 draft pick, at best. He's not likely to put up a remarkable season at WSU under Rolovich. Transferring to another program and playing another year in college might be his best option.

One of the things that bothers me most is that Max is obviously our best weapon, but he had 12 touches in the game, and was on the sideline for big pieces of it. Anyone with the slightest football brain would have him out there as long as he's upright. You either give him the ball or you make the D think you might. Doesn't work when he's on the sideline.
It's a massive cliche at this point, but when your RB is your best weapon...you use the run to set up the pass. And when your QB is JDL, you make it short to mid range passes because he has no touch and mediocre accuracy on his deep throws.

Okay...but our Oline was horrible. They couldn't get any push on the USU Dline. We mostly needed to run around their line.
