Two drafted freshman are coming to WSU... Lees is slowly but surely getting there.

One of them is a 14th round but the other is a 40th rounder.

Very few 40th round players sign - the few that do are getting about a $1,000 bonus - which is embarrassing. The MLB teams are definitely getting more than $1,000 in publicity for drafting kids (some of them as stunts) in the 40th round.

Some are stone cold lock HS kids into college. (They would be offered more than $1,000 and are fall backs if higher drafted kids don't sign and increase the slot money available.)

This is what college baseball coaches, or most of them, have at their disposal, kids who can be developed and who believe they need developing.
