I missed the first two minutes of the game...and my feed has no sound so I was wondering if anyone knows why she isn't in the game.

Thanks

She was subbed the first 3 or 4 minutes for Clark. A bit earlier than usual but she hasn't been effective yet. Feels like both teams are still in bed.

It's been a game of runs. Both teams shooting horribly, and turning the ball over a lot.

My feed turned off so have to listen on radio. I liked the defense we have been playing... especially against Lee

24-17 at the half. Ugly first half, but Cougars are up, and that is what matters.

Defense on Lee has been good, and K-State hasn't been able to take advantage of open 3s. We got in a bit of foul trouble but nobody with 3 yet.

Need to finish at the rim. Their length is affecting us there. Bella and Teder both 0-4.

It has really affected Bella. She hasn't been strong on the offensive end, and has been shooting fadeaways. Bella just had a stupid reach in foul four her third. That could be huge.

Krystal also just picked up a stupid foul, her third, 60 feet from the basket. Foul trouble may rear it's ugly head.

At the end of three, KSU is up 35-33. Horrible quarter for the Cougars. The biggest keys in the game are that the Cougars have 17 turnovers, and 16 fouls. KSU has 10 turnovers and 7 fouls.

Can't win a game if you score 15 points in a half
They ended up scoring 16 points in the second half. Not a fun game to watch. Still, congratulations for making the tournament for the second year in a row.

Brutal way to go out. We couldn't shoot well enough to figure out their zone. Couldn't withstand Teder and Bella going 0-fer.

yeah that was brutal.

I thought maybe we should have tried giving Wallack more minutes as she can score the ball and has some height.

Oh well...at least I got to listen to Steve Grubbs call the game.

Something to build on here going forward

What a waste of a Saturday, I am regretting making the trip into Raleigh. Teder had a brutal game, it appeared she was channeling her inner Noah Williams. Lee, the Center from K State owned us in the second half. Time to wash my eyes out with bleach and try to salvage my weekend.

We had season tickets for K-State women's basketball for about 35 years until until we moved to Spokane this past summer. I am now a Cougs fan unless they play K-State or Gonzaga. Wazzu played a great first half and defended Lee well. K-State played more zone defense in the second half. Lee is hard to defend with double and triple teams because she is so strong and keeps the ball high. She eventually wears down most teams who play her with this strategy, and they get in foul trouble. Lee has the most problems with a team with a tall and mobile center that can match up with her one on one.

Good luck to Wazzu next year. Kamie Ethridge is an excellent coach. Laurie Koehn is great as an assistant coach. Wazzu will have trouble keeping her. She will be a head coach soon. She was an outstanding 3 point and free throw shooter at K-State and is excellent at coaching shooting.
