In years past, a kickoff was a hold your breath(or beer) event with giving it up to the 30-35 yd line on a regular basis.

Seems like we are getting some good sticks at the 20 yard line. Watching some highlights now and there were
a couple nice sticks on kickoff coverage.

They actually have players that will hit you on the coverage team .

I would still prefer blasting the ball out of the end zone but it’s refreshing seeing multiple guys blowing up blockers and punishing returners. That said the OP all but guaranteed stanford will run back 2 kicks on Saturday with this post
 
That Hawaiian LB and Hobert make a lot of plays on ST
Ben Wilson. Thought he’d make an impact at LB with J Rodgers struggles the last couple years, but that dude absolutely hunts for collisions on ST. Gotta have guys on those units who are a little out of their mind.
