Anybody else worried by what they saw, or more accurately. what they didn't see from Izundu? I wasn't at the game but have not gotten very good reviews from those that were. Most seem to think he looked slow and nowhere near as athletic as advertised. Hopefully it is just game rust, after having sat for 2 years. I thought he looked pretty good at the practices I watched.

I would agree even though i did not see the game. Game time is so different in that Adrenalin and nerves may render a player ineffective until he settles down. At thos moments a player may freeze or hesisitate until he settles down. I look for much improved play from him.

He never looked quick to me. We saw what he Kent with Railey and he has a couple years with Izundu. Clifford is the guy most likely to make an immediate impact and he will need to adjust as well.

Clifford will be the starter. however,Izundu will play significant minutes and both will be needed as the season progresses

It was posted on brand x that he was covering a guy 6-7 who took him outside where he was out of his element, I imagine he will be staying primarily in the paint for most of the season.

Izundu will have to play if the Cougs are going to be successful/. A few posters think that Longrus should play but he is simply not a match for bigger stronger guys.Against less talented smaller teams he will show well as, others,but when the PAC 12 season starts,he will not match up well.

Against teams like Gonzaga and the PAC 12 teams,,Longrus is way over matched. Hopefully Izundu may help nullify the bigger teams size advantage.
