So, I'm coming to you my fellow degenerates to get your thoughts.

Walking through big box store and I do a double take and there is JG walking past me. I call out "Jason" and he turns and smiles, expecting to know who I am but, well... we've only met once or twice in passing at events.

Apparently he's employed by the university again? At the local branch campus? It was a rushed convo, so I didn't quite catch it.

Anyway, after I said hi and we went our separate ways, I was overwhelmed with conflicted feelings. My initial response was that of a lifelong Coug and I fanboy'd out a bit, but then the reality smacked me back in the face that he's persona non-grata in Coug-land, and in my land.

Would you have said 'hi"?

Sure. Was he a douche? Yeah. Should people be given a chance to get their shit together and be better people? Of course. You’d say hi to Ryan Leaf I’d assume, there’s an argument to be made that he found a lower bottom than Gesser. I hope Gesser has done some self reflection and gotten it together, he was actually a good dude, great teammate.

You're referring to a big box in the Vancouver area, right? I think his wife is employed in Vancouver, WA, and they live there. According to LinkedIn, Jason is a broker in sales working as a Property & Casualty Consultant for USI Insurance Services.

And I agree with Coug90. 70 times 7.

That's why we should forgive. Look at Ryan Leaf. He's a kick to listen to, on the radio or on TV, (and Jason's post game locker room interviews on the radio was simply profound, and a great broadcaster).

On a side note, it was crazy....remember...about a year ago, Leaf predicted in pre-season the DAWGS would run the table with a 12-0 season as he met with Jimmy Lake?

We 're just imperfect people....but glad there's forgiveness. 🙏

I could go either way on saying hi. Not against it, but I'd guess that it happens enough to be bothersome. Although...maybe less lately.

I don't begrudge him the past either. I'd probably feel different if my wife or daughter was involved, but they werent.

He's not in the WSU directory. Or the Foundation one.

We should indeed forgive. As the good book says, Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”

I hope Jason is in a better place and has grown as a man, father and husband.

MI...we don't need to forgive him. What did he do against any of us? I don't think he owes me anything nor do I owe him something. No forgiveness needed.
