He still has a lot of support among the old-timers, so hopefully those folks can help calm down the old ball coach.

WSU fans are the only people left who give a $hit what he has to say. Without WSU, he's got no one to listen to him. He'll keep blowing hot air on the next coach, I'm sure.

I love Jim Walden . But I do think his position is counter to what he has always preached. He preached kids before Warren Powers career, IE don’t leave these kids after one year.

He preached what about the kids after 2011. It was about what was best for the kids and the team.

Walden had his players make sacrifices to their bodies for the good of the team. Just think of all the head shots the rb took on the dive play. Or the shots that Rypien took.

Not to mention the weight gains for someone like Millard who stepped on campus at 210 pounds .

So it seems a little out of character for Walden to make these claims team first except when it comes to Rolo.

CJW always has been fiercely loyal to the coaches he likes, win or lose.

Don't reckon that will ever change
 
Love Jim and what he did for WSU, but his comments are no longer relevant or carry any weight, I do miss the innocence of CFB in the 70's and 80's, too much money and legal filings these days, something Jim didn't have to deal with. Even though I don't agree with Jim I always find his comments entertaining. As Don James said "I am a 2000 word underdog to Jim Walden"
