Klaut is a 6'9 PF from a Utah juco. The shot blocking machine of Sudanese Origin, has offers from BYU,Utah,Oklahoma,Utah State, WSU,and a bunch of mid majors. He is very long with great lift off and great timing on his shot blocking. He is slender and could use some weight and strength. He is a quick jumper with lots of potential. He reminds me of the just graduated player from Oregon, who also came through the juco ranks.

First 2 minutes of his highlights is block shots so I guess a rim protector! Looks like an interesting prospect and I can see why you can see how he reminds you of Chris Boucher. I don't know whether he's at that level though.

Valentine was not a quick jumper and was constantly in foul trouble. This guy has better timing and is a quick jumper. That is why Utah and other schools ar offering him

I would rather have a solid defender than a good shot blocker. Even the best shot blockers only block 4 a game, granted they change more shots that that but a good defender is still better. If you get both then you have something special. I don’t really like one dementual players as a whole but they do have their place.

Kur Kaluth was named his conference's player of the week. He averaged 6 pts 15 rbs and 9.5 blks per game for his team. He is exactly what the cougs will need for next year. I guess that his recruitment will be intensifying. One hopes that Kent and Crew have made inroads into his recruitment.
