Lady Coug VB

Great job to get the first set after some struggles. UTenn could be starting to dig a pretty big hole. Coug's up 8-3 in set 2.

They had to go 5 last night so fatigue could be setting in for the lady volunteers

It's nice to have some success in a few non-revenue sports at the same time as football wins are coming in. I'm one of the few people who watch just about any sport if it's live. Only exception is women's basketball. I can watch the better teams play, but it's tough for me to watch the average college teams play.

On to the Sweet 16!

Woodford, Mims, and Urias played big tonight. Brown was her usual self w/43 assists.
4 PAC-12 teams (WSU, Stanford, Ducks, uw, in final 16, awaiting outcome of USC.
Bring on Stanford.

What's the format like going forward? Is it like baseball, this being a regional then a higher seed hosts a super regional of 4?

Stanford is the #1 team and believe they host the Regional that includes WSU, Stanford, Penn St, and uw. Stanford is a tough draw, but Cougs are playing w/house money. Go Lady Cougs!!!

We got a tough draw for sure at the #16 seed. There are only 16 total seeds out of 32 teams in the tourney, Stanford is #1, we are #16 + 16 unranked. The bracket below us, where UW (unranked) is, would have been an easier route to get to the elite 8. It's unfortunate that we are lumped in the same bracket as Stanford, 2 pac-12 teams. The top right side of the bracket has nobody from the pac-12, and the other 2 have 1 rep. each from the pac-12.
