it looks like cougs are having it taken to them They are behind 42 -25 at the half. Their 3 pt game is not clicking and they are getting hammered .

Disappointing but not shocking. Othervgames where we had to dig out of holes, the D got plenty of second half stops. Franks and Fkynn did enough to get us back this game but we just traded too many baskets.
Always disappointing to lose a winnable game, but this team has a lot more winnable gamed left than we might have expected a month ago

There was a point in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half where Flynn missed a layup, next possession Daniels/Flynn missed open 3s, and over the next 5 minutes Franks missed a couple free throws. That 7 points on shots we have been making would have really tightened it up.
Our starting guards today went 7-25 overall, 6-20 from 3, and 12 turnovers between the 3 (11 for Flynn/Acquaah). Daniels and Acquaah were 1-11 overall (1-9 from 3). Flynn/Acquaah did have 11 assists between them though.
Franks was brilliant and really put the team on his back. It obviously wasn't Flynn's best game but he helped give us a shot. Big issues today defensively and 2nd chance points. Saw on the post game UC-D beat us 42-22 in the paint. We can play a lot better than we did today but not totally unexpected coming off the Tournament win.
They were flat. Need a lot better energy than what we saw today.

Hopefully we can attribute this to the cougs being a young team. One cannot play without an intensity on every play. Other teams will eat them upon a regular basis if they do not concentrate and give 100 % effort on every play. The team has good but not great players and need to realize that they will get their asses handed to them if they do not concentrate and outwork the other team.
