Oregon should send CougCenter a thank you card for lighting that highlight video fire, no way he ends up at Oregon if that site wasn't worried about generating clicks. Like Biggs said, don't make it easier for other schools. WSU had him on 2 unofficials, 1 officials, numerous in homes and Oregon comes in and offers at the 11th hour and it's over.

CougCenter is my least favorite Coug site for many reasons. This just adds to it. They are meatheads. I'm being polite.

I think he's eventually found. It seems steily has good football coverage...I would bet the coach would be sending videos out no matter what to NW schools. He's a monster, but I have reservations about transferring up to the pac12. I've played in that league and competition is iffy. Hope he gets up to 215 ish and becomes a force as I enjoyed watching him.

I guess he will be the one that got away for many people. While i may be in the minority, i do believe that he may not be that big a loss. This is not high school and i believe that his vicious hits will not be that spectacular in college. I believe that he will not be that effective in college as other teams will have players bigger and stronger than him.. One has to have consistency and he is not that big a player. To say that brand X is to blame is not a fair statement. Leiato and others were posting his video to anyone who would look at it. Oregon currently is one of the top schools in the Nation and they offered him a scholarship ,so they are impressed with him. I believe that he will always be a good special teams player. I just doubt that he can be effective as a linebacker or safety at a high level in college People will say that it is sour grapes and maybe so. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I tend to agree with ElC. If he ran a legit 4.5 he would be a 4-5 star OLB/FS or athlete. Unfortunately he seems to be a bit slower and very undersized. However, I thought Deone was fairly slow too, so maybe he'll end up transitioning well. He seems to be a tweener between OLB and Free Safety. Too small for a traditional linebacker, too slow for a safety. The thing about guys who give his effort and are able to hit fearlessly is that they usually find themselves in the field and succeed. Congrats to him on getting his dream offer.

Deone was pretty fast, but he was so skinny, he was like a buck 65 coming out of high school.

People may have animosity towards c-center for whatever reason, but to think their posting of Fotus video is the reason Oregon "found" him is just silly. This is big business and these schools have a LOT of resources to find players. No stone goes unturned and there are plenty of vehicles for players to get their highlights out there too. I think Oregon had a couple of other high profile guys they liked and offered and those probably didn't work out, and Fotu was a back up plan. so be it. He's a fun player to watch. I hope Falk makes him look silly over the next 3 years and I also hope he decleats Cyrus miles like he did to all those kids in his video.

It's the guy who runs it, he rubs a lot people the wrong way with how he handles his site.

So the Oregon staff is trolling Coug Center to get info on recruits.

Too funny.
That's not the story. Point is that until CougCenter wrote a post describing how insane Leiato's video was, and then tweeted it out, with said tweet then run with by national college football sites, Leiato had no other offers besides WSU (who had offered recently) and Wyoming. Once the national outlets ran with CougCenter's story, Leiato's video wound up becoming the most-watched video ever on Hudl in short order. He was a mini-celebrity and soon had offers from places like UCLA and Oklahoma, whereas, he was popularly viewed as a Wulff-style MWC / Pac-12 tweener at best just a few weeks prior.

I'm not saying CC should (or shouldn't) have promoted the video like that -- just laying out the facts. I wouldn't say it's the job of a college team's media to pump up the film of offerees or PWOs to try to get them offers from other places, but I don't know if it's fair to criticize them for doing so, either. Here, I'm pretty sure some other schools would have taken a look after he was offered by WSU anyway, but I don't think places like Oklahoma, UCLA, etc. would have been on him so quickly if it wasn't for him becoming a celebrity like that. In any case, in his specific case, I'm very happy for the kid and hope he has a nice career.

That Oregon is offering an undersized 2A linebacker who was a virtual nobody until his highlight video came out 40 or so days ago says more about how Duck recruiting is faltering under Helfrich. Even so, he'll be a 5-star recruit by Thursday.

I agree, remember last year they poached braden eggert from us, he is hardly the type of OL they have been going for,

Well they may not be finished . Jonah Moi may take a late visit to Oregon, He has already visited TCU.
