With all the talk about the Cougs men's basketball I am surprised that no one has mentioned that Lia Galdeira was a first round selection, #19 by the Washington Mystics, in the recent WNBA draft. First lady Coug ever drafted and that surprises me. Congratulations to her. She should do well. Spent last year playing in Europe. I have no information on her stats over there.

20 PPG I believe.

You're right. WSU women are about to have more WNBA choices in the next few years as well. That's what happens when you can recruit.

Galdeira played in Bulgaria and put up big numbers last year. Would have liked to see her for another year in Pullman but glad to see her get picked. She was technically a 2nd round pick by the way.

Chanelle Molina could end up as good as Galdeira. Her highlights are pretty impressive and have heard Bobbie Awa has indicated she's the best talent she has coached.

JD's losing Galdeira for last season was a killer. She was as much to WSU as Plum is to the UW.

Hristova and Molina will be the next big thing...with a couple of more Molina's in the pipeline as well.

Hristova/Molina definitely a potent combination the next 3 years. If the bigs come along we should make a nice jump in the standings next season. The youngest Molina sister looks really good!
