He certainly wasn't going to learn how to play defense under Ernie. Flynn obviously made a good decision to transfer although it would've been nice to see what he could've done had he stayed in Pullman. Maybe Kent survives another year with Flynn on the team last year.I wouldn't have seen this coming a couple years ago. I watched parts of a few SDSU games this year and it looks like he worked on his body. He's obviously embraced the other end in San Diego. Too bad it couldn't have taken place in Pullman.
Since I believe that Smith is the Cougars best basketball coach since Tony Bennett, I would make that trade every time.I would rather have both but I would also take that trade. If you think about it it was actually Flynn and Kent for Smith. That's pretty simple math even with the amount it cost to get out from under Kent's contract.
It's still early but Smith's showing a lot of programs should have been banging his door down.
Well yeah, that's a no-brainer, but let's face the facts: the bar for "best coach since TB" is pretty damn low--limbo-like low.Since I believe that Smith is the Cougars best basketball coach since Tony Bennett, I would make that trade every time.
True. However, he still appears to be a notch above a lot of hires Chun could have made or had been made since Bennett left.Well yeah, that's a no-brainer, but let's face the facts: the bar for "best coach since TB" is pretty damn low--limbo-like low.
