Trying to do some Twitter followers digging, it looks like Mark Leftwich who is UIW QB coach and passing game coordinator has followed WSU football, and is being followed back. Typically a sign of a coming move in this case.

Maybe an offensive analysis or something like that. It's not surprising that Morris will want some people from UIW working with him here. I do think the more offensive UIW coaches we have the more it's possible that Ward will transfer here. That is just me.

Even if Leftwich wasn't at IW, he is still a good QB coach. He did a awesome job at IW.

He will probably be the QB coach at WSU.

Usually in a situation like this if Morris, WSU football follows him and he follows Morris and WSU football, usually that means he is probably coming.

And it probably makes it even more probably likely that the IW QB ward does transfer to WSU.

Which is ok, because a QB battle is ok, and would push both JDL and the IW QB.

His dad is a long time college coach at numerous college stops. He was a QB at UTEP, but it appears that he started right after Mike Price left. So, it is possible that Price helped recruit him. He is 27 years old. I think it is a good hire, either as the QB coach, or as an offensive quality control assistant.

Leftwich will not be the QB coach. It's reported that Morris will have the dual role of OC and QB coach while Ward will be DC and LB coach. Maybe Leftwich will be an offensive quality control coach? At any rate, welcome aboard Mack!

Glad Cougar

I bet Leftwich is the "eyes in the sky" for games. He'll be calling everything out to Morris...just like Morris did for Leach.

Leach was his own QB coach, but while he was at WSU, Graham Harrell also worked with the QB's. Same with Dave Nichols when he was at WSU. There was an offensive quality control coach that I forget his name, that also worked with the QB's. I can see Leftwich also working with the QB's.

He may help out, but I bet he's Morris's pair of eyes.
