After WSU held BYU to just 21 points last week, the Provo version of the Cougars last night scored 66 points against a decent Virginia team. Of course, BYU also gave up 49 points (35 in the 2nd quarter). But it might indicate our Cougs have a pretty good defense right now. That running back we couldn't stop last week? Allgeier ran for 266 yards and 5 TDs. He's pretty good, apparently.

And Utah State won again and are now bowl eligible.

It wasn’t. BYU is a solid team and to think we were somehow going to kick their ass after losing 1/3 of our coaching staff midweek was silly. A decent chunk of game planning and prep had to have been rushed through considering the circumstances. The fact that we played them even and had a chance to win was impressive.
