Who is the player that was the highest recruit on the men’s basketball team this year

He had a few open looks in the second half where I was screaming at the TV to dropped it off for him.

I think Efe has the highest ceiling of the freshmen I’ve seen. Seems to be getting better every game.

Another comfortable win and some great balanced scoring tonight. Abogidi ended up with another double double. Can't remember the last true freshman for WSU that had consecutive double doubles before. Maybe Puidokas? These games are great development and experience for upcoming conference games, which will be decidedly more challenging. I like the growth taking place.

Glad Cougar

Maybe Hendrickson?

EFE is probably the best since Donaldson, Guy Williams, Raveling Years.

I understand why some might not think so now.

He is RAW, and the stats arent as consistently good.

But Efe has Shawn Kemp like NBA Freakish Athleticism.

There is a reason why Efe was in the NBA Global Academy, and was going to be, or would have been fast tracked into either the NBA G League, NBA draft, IF IF he hadnt been injured after his viral dunk.

There is a reason why the NBA put his Jordan Esque Viral Dunk on the front page of the official NBA website.

Also the announcers, said that the post move he made was Hakeem Dream Shake like. And even coach smith during a post game interview admitted, conceded, said that.

And Efe passes the ball ok, shoots the 3, mid range jumpers well, plays defense, is quick, fast, speedy, can jump out of the gym, draws charges, REBOUNDS, has good hands, a hook shot, post moves, can dunk with DOMINATING AUTHORITY, over, around players, can face up to the basket, and can drive to the basket.

So because of all that he has the POTENTIAL, ON PAPER, to be a POTENTIAL NBA PROSPECT, with the POTENTIAL to be a NBA DRAFT PICK, to go 1st, 2nd round, and has the POTENTIAL to leave early after his sophmore, junior year.

But oh no, if I say that for the logical reasons I named, said, then its not ok.

But if any of ya all say it, its ok.

I TOLD YA ALL SO, based on very Logical reasons, that he was, is this good, or was gona be that good.

Also like I said before there are, about 1,2,3,4 POTENTIAL NBA PROSPECTS in the class, on the team.

Also there are a lot of players in the class, on the team, that more highly rated, ranked as recruits, then CJ was, and are further ahead of where CJ was, when CJ was a recruit, freshman, at the beginning of the season.

Only reason Koulibay, isnt as far along is because of injury.

Coach Smith says that Koulibay is a better lockdown defender then Noah Williams.

Bonton, Noah Williams, EFE, AJ Jak, Bamba, Koulibay, Dischon Jackson, Rasario.

1 to 4, 1 at extreme minimum, 4 at extreme maximum are, or are going to be POTENTIAL NBA PROSPECTS.

And yes that almost never ever happens at WSU. And yes the last time something even close to that happening was the Raveling years.

And yes there are a LOT to even most colleges dont even have that happen.

But dont forget that there were the Fab 5 of Michigan. 3,4,5 NBA pros on, from the Laetner Duke Team, UNLV, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kansas.

And yes WSU is going to be extremely good.

15 to 20 wins this season. 19 to 24 wins next season. 23 to 28 wins the season after that.

And there will probably be a top 25 recruiting class, 2nd in Pac 12, within the next 3,4,5 years.

Smith is building something extremely special, perhaps maybe even the best its ever been at WSU.

I think Smith is comparable to Coach K of Duke, as a coach, as far as coaching ability, recruiting.

I think Coach K, and Coach Smith, would probably have the same good results at WSU, if Coach K of Duke were to coach at WSU.

Like I said Told ya all so, and telling ya so again.

Dont be so quick to dismiss what I say.

I say what I say for good, logical reasons, whether they come true or happen or not.

Efe is progressing more and more every game as is the whole team, which is great to see. Aj is looking more comfortable and his skill set is impressive, he lacks high level athleticism but has a high basketball IQ. Tj had one solid game and spurts of potential in other games. Dishon Jackson looks like a solid big recruit but he definitely needs more time before he can be called on for big minutes. If I had to guess I would say Rosario is red shirting this year.

If I had to place a wager on whether we have any NBA players on this team my money would be on no. If I absolutely had pick who might have the best chance I would say Noah with Efe a close second and gaining, but both are long shots.

We still have yet to see much in the way of PAC 12 level competition except of course OSU but this team comes to play every game which is very refreshing and encouraging!

WSU remains the sole undefeated team in the Pac12 but has the lowest KenPom rating in the Pac12.

Still lower than EWU and Oregon State who they beat

Beating Idaho who is like 344 by 3 isn’t helping. Same with Texas Southern. I think by the end of the year we’d be in the 90’s.

Again WSU BLEW OUT, SPANKED, DOMINATED, BEAT BY 28 POINTS THE TEAM THAT SPANKED, DOMINATED, BEAT, SCORED 91, ETC, AGAINST UNLV PERENNIAL TOP 25 NCAA TOURNAMENT RUNNIN REBS.

Basically the ONLY reasons why WSU only just barely beat teams like Idaho, etc, is:

1. INJURIES

2. YOUNG TEAM

3. LACK OF EXPERIENCE, CHEMISTRY.

Etc.

About the 4th game of the season, the team got more experienced, more chemistry, and now in back to back games the team LOOKS LIKE A TOP TEAM DESTROYING BAD TEAMS.

And thats with INJURIES, YOUTH, ETC.

Just imagine what will probably happen when the team gets players back from injuries, and becomes healthy again.

Just imagine what will happen, as the team gets more experience, chemistry, etc.

There will probably be 1,2,3 games in the pac 12, that they should win, and will probably lose.

But there will probably be 2,3,4 that they should lose, and will instead win.

And altho WSU might be shaky at the beginning of Pac 12 schedule.

By the middle of the Pac 12 schedule, and probably or certainly by the end of the Pac 12 schedule and into the Pac 12 tourny, and into the NIT, NCAA Tourny WSU should be pretty good and be hard to beat, and should win a lot by then at that time.

Thats assuming a lot of key injuries dont happen, etc.

When that Happens, WSU will probably win 6 to 11 games in the Pac 12, and win about 14 to 19 games overall.

UNLV hasn’t danced since 2013 and no NIT since 2009. Not the program they once were 1-4 so far this year.

I don't think redshirting Rosario has any advantage this year since all players retain a year of eligibility due to COVID. My guess is he is either still recovering from injury or is so far behind that Smith is not ready to put him into a game. I hope Rosario can stay patient, get caught up, and get into some games as the season progresses. He has a lot of potential.

What's interesting to me is that all of a sudden, this team has more depth than any recent WSU squad in years. If and when Miller and Rodman come back, you'll have some young but experienced players sitting on the bench.

Glad Cougar

Yeah I was wondering when everyone is healthy who’s going to get the minutes

Oops!! In my basketball induced bliss I almost forgot about COVID for a second. Our depth is impressive and possibly helped along by the injuries, which have given more players chances to get extended game time.
