MBK Final: Cougs 78, Cal 76 (Story + Stats + Video of GW layup + Postgame Interview + Recap))

Wasn't real pretty, but Cougs played hard. Road wins are never bad. Also Acquaah showed signs of starting to figure it out. Flynn was clutch again despite poor shooting night.

The game was a great win for a struggling team It made the players happy and it was great to see. Some posters here seem to want more losses for this team, Their hatred of Kent seems to know no bounds. I thoroughly enjoyed the win and the players like Milan and Flynn who made key plays down the stretch. A win is a win especially on the road

Always good to see a win. Win at least 1 more down the stretch and a win in the Pac12 tournie and I'll have a little optimism going into next year.

And some posters seem to think that Kent is better than the previous Coach....NOT.

Always nice to get a road win and secure 11th in the conference.

Well I for one want to see EK gone, but don't want us to lose every (or any) game to make it happen. Plus, we all agree he is not going anywhere for at least one more year. So yeah, let's take every win we can get. If EK turns it around next year I will be happy. But Chun had better not roll his contract over now or then.

Anyone listen to Muelbach talking about our long road losing streak? Basically he said that ever other team agrees that the trip to Pullman is the toughest road trip. Just as tough for us going the other direction, and we have to do it 5 times not just once per year.

Does anyone think other coaches don't use this when recruiting against us. " Look son, I know you are looking at WSU, and Kent is a good coach. However travel is tough up there and they don't even care enough to have charter flights for their team".

The history of the bonehead is written into the history books,he was a miserable failure. The book on Kent, like it or not,is still in the writing stage. So people will get to see him on the bench for at least another year.I see a couple of more victories this year in conference play.Hopefully they will perform well in the Tournament

Actually it is much tougher for us going the other way, assuming that most other programs actually have charter flights. They can fly right in to Pullman International and be in Beasley in 10 minutes. How close can a charter flight get to uw's arena or UCLA's or anyone else's? I remember one year UCLA's Football team flew into Pullman. So how does that make Pullman their toughest road trip? Or maybe they don't all have charter flights......?

Be curious to know what the actual cost differential is for a basketball charter vs flying commercial. We must bus to Spokane to fly out?

We need charters more than anyone in the history of the world. I am pretty sure I heard PUW is going to expand and we would be able to fly out of there.

Does anyone on this site actually read posts before responding? While yes Pullman International is expanding (realigning is more accurate), charters can and do fly out of there now, and always have. As do 70 seat Alaska flights. When I refer to busing to Spokane, I meant that when you have what - 25 people plus gear - going somewhere, I was assuming that they are not able to book them all on a Pullman Alaska/Horizon flight. Although I guess if you book it 6 months ahead, there would probably be room available. Note my comment about UCLA's FOOTBALL team charter landing in Pullman once. Although I bet the pilot was scared s-less!

Got it and yes, I am no help.

The history of the "ole" man is also already written. Worst Coach since Graham. Read the record.
