MBK Final: Oregon 78, Cougs 58 (Story + Box Score + Highlights)

It is strange to me that a guy 6-9 doesn’t get any rebounds but offensively Pollard is playing really well he is finally finishing in the paint. He has always had the solid post move just no finish. Some of the rebounding is that he always defers to his teammates on the easy rebounds where two players are there. I’m with you though how do you not get one rebound.

Daniels hasnt looked good offensively all season, even before the concusion. Pollard has really worked on that little jump hook. Last year it was maddening how often he and Bernstein failed to finish.

Last night the Oregon D just totally shut us down the second half.

The PG s did no take control of this team . I would be actively recruiting a PG for next year. Pollard has to develop a Bill Lambier role where he treats the opposition like bowling pins if the old timers remember him.Daniels is just too small with a limited skill set.

If Pollard played like Lambier he would foul out in about 10 defensive possessions but something needs to change. What's been strange is first half he's been getting touches and shots that become nonexistent in the second half. I would have to watch again to see if the defense changes or the shots just aren't there but he had 1 shot in the final 20 minutes.

In general the offense seems to lose it's flow and bog down in the second half. PGs could be the reason but it seems more than just that.

I’m hopping Murphy is the point guard next year with Robinson as the back up. I’d have Ali compete for time at the 2 guard. Imo he has been forced to the pg position based on his size, he is more suited for the 2.
