So, why do people believe his injury is a factor?

Why?

Because, though I have no links to other sites - fan sites or official school sources, when the news that McDougle was interested in WSU first came out, there was a fair amount of discussion about him having to sit out because of the one year transfer requirement.

Holgorsen quote notwithstanding, there WAS ALSO a fair amount of talk about him having an injury serious enough to make him miss the upcoming season, NCAA requirement or not.

If those reports were in error, I apologize for repeating them and making any assumptions based on them.
