Outstanding, meanwhile the lady v’ballers are in a slugfest w/SC.
Won game 1, lost game 2, up 16-13 in game 3.
Wow! They gave a point to SC when Norville was going to serve, there was an inadvertent whistle, and she didn't let the ball drop to the ground. Still able to overcome it to get the 4 set win. Pretty special as they potentially join a logjam for 2nd place if dub beats UCLA today.
Great win and I didn’t have to endure a game-5.
The Greeny’s have built an outstanding program.
In soccer with dub losing to Utah that sets up a big game on their senior night for a chance to overtake both dub and Cal (assuming 'Furd beats the Bears). The offense is coming to life at the right time.
Some history was also made today as this is the first time in 33-years the Coug V’ballers swept the season series w/SC. Go Cougs!!!
So many frosh playing like their juniors or seniors and the actual vets playing big. Good stuff!
Too bad they didn't play well against UCLA. Talking about VB, not FB. But, with so many new and young players, it is harder to come prepared for every game. Glad they rebounded to win today.
I was a bit concerned following an outstanding Sr. class that graduated last year.
Greeny’s ability to bring in a couple top Europeans in Fr. Pia Timmer and Fr. Magda Jehlarova has been huge.
Also did not realize that Fr. Hannah Pukis was ready to take over as Setter.
WSU been top-half good for a couple years, and really think this current class can be battling in the upper echelon over the next 2-3 years.
UCLA recently swept Stanford, so not sure what to think. Of their 20 matches,16 have resulted in 3-0 sweeps either with them winning or losing. Apparently they’re either on or off.
They certainly have our number this year both in Bohler and Martin.
Timmer and Jehlarova have played big. They aren't the typical frosh with their international experience. Lusby's done a solid job as well.
Pukis has played huge. She seems to make good decisions and causes issues for the other team. This year is far from over but the next few years look really good although replacing Urias and Dirige isn't going to be easy.
UCLA has handled us both times this year. It looks like dub will beat them twice after dub dropped 2 to SC twice. Of course we beat SC twice. Sometimes that's just how matchups work.
