If the TV deal is better than B12, it will be interesting to see if we add 3, or even 5, instead of 1.
The TV deal will NOT be better then the Big 12 deal.
In order to have gotten a deal better then the Big 12, the PAC would have had to:
1. Not lose anybody else in addition to UCLA, USC, unless it's WSU/Ore St. Losing Colorado, has LOWERED the deal even more.
2. While keeping everybody, adding SDSU, SMU, UNLV.
3. While keeping everybody not named USC, UCLA, and after adding SDSU, SMU, UNLV, then doing a scheduling Alliance with the ACC.
4. Then after all that, then doing about a 38 million per team deal, that bigger then the Big 12 deal
Losing Colorado KILLED THAT.
The PAC deal BEFORE losing Colorado, and before, without expanding, no alliances, etc, was 21 mil to 23 mil per team.
After losing Colorado, and if expand, the deal will probably be about 15 mil to 17 mil to 20 mil per team. If also do Alliance in addition, then 17 mil to 20 mil to 23 mil per team.
If no expansion, no alliance, no lose anyone else then about 12 mil to 14 mil to 16 mil per team.
If no expansion, if no alliance, and if lose more PAC colleges, then it will be about 7 mil to 9 mil to 11 mil per team.
Big 12 deal is 31.7 mil per team.
PAC deal will NOT be better then the 31.7 per team Big 12 deal.
