That’s not saying much. Miami is a shit show.
Speaking of DCs, I didn’t realize Air Forces defense was so highly ranked. 18th in the country I think I saw? I think we may be in trouble tomorrow.
He does go after the under the radar guy and has some luck in doing so. But there will have to be a compelling reason other than a one game resume .
The profile to me is an under the radar Mtn West guy with recruiting contacts in Cali. I’m not enough of a football junkie to know who fits that profile but there’s got to be a couple up and coming DCs in the Mtn West.
Edit- Bonus : The perfect guy also has a kid or two that’s HS age that is looking to stay put for 3-5 years as well. Pullman will be part of a new expanded GSL next year so from a HS sports standpoint, Pullman just got more attractive.
They also haven’t seen an offense like ours with athletes like ours. They are good and disciplined but haven’t faced a ton of talent. Wouldn’t be surprised if we get beat though.
These bowl games are always hard to figure out. Top 20 in the country is pretty solid though, don’t care who you are playing or what offense you run.
I dont think recruiting contacts matter any more. Kids sign LOIs, not coaches. And if you really wanna meet a kid and the coach wont let you in the door, fb twitter ig... Coaches arent the gate keepers they once were.
Now, talent evaluation and relationship building? Very much yes.
Leach isn't going to rush into this. Never has. He likely might wait until after signing period.
