New OL Commit could be coming

Hell yeah. The offensive line has improved with Miller and I look forward to what he can do with these new big bodies in the future.

Wonder if its Jamir Thomas rb/lb from powerhouse Massilon Ohio. Just got a follow from Coach Miller, and two commits

Seems like a “great day...” tweet from a couple weeks back went out but no commit ever came from it. Hopefully that’s not the case here.

That was Hunter Hill. He announced his commitment the next day after speaking with the other teams recruiting him.

The way they talk about this, seems like he's getting his first look at RB. Excited to hear from Jamir. Now bring your HS buddy with you and we have a super class.

Thomas ran for 269 yards against arch rival Canton Mckinley. His jr tape he looks a little slow and heavy......I'd like to see some senior film.

This kid is an amazing RB. He looks like a James Williams successor (also from Ohio)

Jamir and his Massillon teammates play in the state title game this weekend, so the timing of this commitment caught me and everyone else off guard. Massillon players, almost to a man, refuse to discuss recruiting during the season, so the last time I spoke with Jamir was in the summer and Washington State was not on the radar for him then. I've reached out to Jamir - with my primary question being what position the Cougars plan to bring him in for - but have not heard back yet. I did speak with his head coach, Nate Moore, about mid-season and that was right after Jamir had set the career rushing yard record at Massillon. For those unaware, Massillon is one of the most historic football programs in the country - their annual rivalry game against Canton McKinley was the only one to have a betting line in Vegas for many years - so setting career records there is impressive. However, most college programs saw Thomas' highest upside at LB in college.

Jamir had popped several big offers early in his recruitment, but when I spoke with him in July only a few of those teams were still recruiting him. As I said, Washington State was not mentioned at the time. The Cougars only offered him a month ago, but seemed to pursue him pretty heavily since. Linebacker is probably the position Jamir has the highest upside at in college, but he may be more of a sure thing as a running back. That versatility certainly adds value, because you can plug and play where you need help, or if he doesn't work out at one position you can roll him out at the other. The other value he brings is that Washington State has offered his uncommitted 2019 teammate Tre'von Morgan and 2021 WR Jayden Ballard. Jamir is undoubtedly a leader on that team, and now he is an advocate for Washington State.

Isn’t he injured and not playing in the state title game?
