Zack Miller, Washington State Cougars, Offensive Line
Zach Miller is a 6-7, 295-pound Offensive Tackle from Orange, CA.

Sorry 5’5” is small we need WR’s that can block or move people. That’s not to say he’s a good player but we need big bodies.Nice pick up! Good looking OT. Still after the Middle Tennessee two OL and I feel like we have a good chance getting the North Texas OL. Still curious where UVA running back Wayne T. will land. Hawaiian kid but did play for Atuaia for 3 years. He would fit into our offense seamlessly. Great at pass pro and Anae runs a similar more physical Air Raid version like Morris w TE Looks like the coaches are trying to steal Wesley Garrett (EWU commit out of Everett) at last minute. Interesting portal addition is Champ Flemings. 5'5" Oregon State wr. Had a real nice career there. Burned us 2 years ago. Can really run. Morris followed him immediately. Hs teammate w Renard Bell and Jamire Calvin.

Given his accolades listed...he's been way underutilized. Like this : Totaled 125 kickoff return yards on four attempts at Washington. Had a high of 43 yards
Flemings is a great slot receiver. Speed for days. A true 4.4 guy. Would be dynamic on special teams. Just needs a qb who can get him the ball in space like Luton did a couple years ago.
Hell yeah I’d take a guy like that in a heartbeat. Think of some of these NFL guys like Sproles and Hester that are a nightmare to deal with on special teams. The key is can they take a good hit here or there, if they can, LFG. There’s all sorts of routes a guy that size can run and isn’t a problem for the QB to hit him. Going over the top on a seam route vs a safety doesn’t matter if the guy is 6’5 or 5’5 if the guy can burn and get over the top. Slot bubble/screen, anything short underneath in space. He'd fill in right where Travell Harris left off. I say get him if possible.
I get your point but you're wrong at the same time. You can't have a whole crew of small bodies, but if a player is truly dynamic and fast.....a couple small dudes are fine.
People saying that "he doesn't fit the prototype" is how an absolute fuggin' beast like Cooper Kupp ends up at Eastern Washington. It's how Purdue ends up getting Drew Brees. This kid is obviously no Kupp and we have no idea if he's good (as you said), but it is dumb for fans (or coaches) to say to pass on a player just because they don't fit the desired mold.
FWIW, Duece Vaughn at K-State is 5'6" and 172 lbs and he's one of the top three running backs in the Big 12. Size matters....but it's not the only metric when offering players.
Well I stand with what I said because i feel we need blockers in our offense we run. Look at our offensive line and I get tired getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage because of shitty blocking within the offense. Hopefully the TE will help.I get your point but you're wrong at the same time. Starting field position is probably one of the most underrated stat lines in the growing world of statistics and the use of statistics. If this guy is constantly providing the team with a great opportunity such as favorable field position every time he touches the ball on a kick return, then he is too valuable NOT to offer him and get him onto the team.Hell yeah I’d take a guy like that in a heartbeat. Yes let’s over recruit one position and we will bitch about our offensive line,WR and RB positions. Clearly your missing the game threads on game day. Options vary so what so because I have a different option I lack the fundamentals of the game. Ok chiefWe are apparently having two different conversations. If you are saying that you would prefer that we shouldn't give this kid a schollie because we should offer more tight ends and OL.....fine, but I still disagree. You never over-recruit one position when there is talent out there.
If you are saying that we need big wide receivers that can help the OL block in our running game to avoid negative rushing plays ...I'm going to say that you lack a fundamental understanding of the game of football.

The OL transfer rumors were all established and proven ball players. Taking a JC at this point vs a OG that's been an all-league player this year...go with the guy from Middle Tennessee State...right?Don't get me wrong, we need to make sure to get as many good OL as we can. I still wouldn't skip a talented guy that's interested in WSU just to go grab some rando OL who might not be any good but he checks the box for fans.

Just saying that they've been talking about 3 proven transfers they could land. Currently there's 3-4 high school players depending on whether Luke Roaten plays DL or OL and it's been reported he'll switch to OL. With 7 players...would it make sense to take a chance on the 34th rated JC olineman? I say no. The players available are going to ...drum roll please....Middle Tennessee St.With our current situation, we need 5-6 OL guys this year and the bowl game showed that we clearly have OL issues. I would definitely prefer as many guys that are ready to go as possible.
On my comments above, I still think you take a talented player at another position if you get a shot at them. We still have open spots as far as I know and I don't know that we need to pass up on some dude just because he doesn't fit the prototype. I'm not sure how this became an either/or discussion.
Both Roatan and Dickert have said he is going to play OL. That makes HS six recruits to the OL in this class. That was very important considering there were only two OL in last years class.Just saying that they've been talking about 3 proven transfers they could land. I kind of forgive the offensive line issues for the bowl game. Both Hilborn and Dieu were true freshman getting their first game action in a bowl game. A couple of other players were playing out of position. With our current situation, we need 5-6 OL guys this year and the bowl game showed that we clearly have OL issues. So, how many scholarship linemen are left? I'm counting 9 on the current roster plus 7 coming in for 16.Both Roatan and Dickert have said he is going to play OL. That makes HS six recruits to the OL in this class. That was very important considering there were only two OL in last years class.
